1. Documents asked by the TAPU office :
During the application , the buyers and the sellers are to provide the local TAPU office with the following documents:
a) THE BUYER :
1. passport of the buyer translted at the notary
2. Two recent passport photo's of the buyer sized 4cm x 6 cm
3.tax number
4. official map with exact location of the property from the Office of the Land Registry.
b) THE SELLER :
1.title deed of the property
2. passport
3.two recent passport photo's
4. earth quake insurence
5.Turkish Citizen number
6.tax number
2. Issuance of a new TAPU
Finally after the military clearence has been finished , you are given an official ownership document called TAPU
Without having a TAPU , you are never considered to legally own the property.
3. Declaration of acquisation to the local gouvernement.
You are supposed to apply to the municipality for declaring the acquisation of the peroperty by the end of the year of acquisation.
You simply fill out a form and submit it to the municipality. Afterwards , the municipality officers will tell you when and how much real estate tax you are going to pay. |
